Rosemarie M. Balayan, MSc

Head, General Education Department

Ms. Rosemarie D. Mangunay-Balayan is a passionate educator who has been part of the Metropolitan Medical Center – College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MMC-CAST) family since 2003. She currently serves as the Head of the General Education Department and adviser of the College Student Council, roles that allow her to guide both students and colleagues with dedication and care.

A proud graduate of the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST), she holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mathematics and has pursued doctoral studies in Educational Management. Throughout her career, she has taken on leadership roles such as Student Affairs Coordinator and Liberal Arts Department Coordinator, always striving to foster academic excellence and student growth.

Her years of service have earned her various recognitions, including the Performance Award, Service Awards, and Top Performing Faculty Award. Beyond achievements, Ms. Balayan believes that true education begins with compassion. Her enduring commitment to teaching and mentorship continues to inspire the MMC-CAST community toward lifelong learning and meaningful service.
