The Bachelor of Science in Nursing being offered by MMC CAST is a four-year program consisting of general education and professional courses. It combines general education courses with intensive professional nursing subjects and a substantial clinical practicum. The curriculum is competency-based, community-oriented, and emphasizes holistic patient care, blending scientific knowledge with core values like compassion and ethical responsibility.

Professional courses begin in the first year and threads through fourth year with emphasis on the nursing concepts with corresponding Related Learning Experiences (RLE) where students are provided with hands-on clinical rotations and early exposure to various healthcare settings, including hospitals and community centers.

There is a wide range of career options, both locally and internationally. Career pathways include working as a clinical nurse in various specializations (e.g., critical care, pediatrics, surgical), a community health nurse, a nurse educator or researcher, or even an administrator or entrepreneur in the healthcare industry.

Accreditation

The program was granted Level I status from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

Licensure Examination Performance

The Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts, Science & Technology (MMC CAST) has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance in the Professional Nursing Board Licensure Examinations. Notably, MMC CAST has achieved a 100% passing rate in numerous evaluations. 

More recently, MMC CAST celebrated a significant achievement with an overall passing rate of 91.89% (100% passing rate for first takers) in the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 84.99%.

These accomplishments reflect the institution’s commitment to providing quality education and training to its nursing students.
