Dr. Darwin D. J. Lim is a distinguished Filipino Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Academician, renowned for his contributions to dental education and clinical practice. He holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of the East, and a Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Okayama University Dental School in Japan, where he was a recipient of the Mombusho Scholarship.

Currently, Dr. Lim serves as the Dean of the College of Dental Medicine at Metropolitan Medical Center, CAST, a position he has held since 2018. He previously served as Professor B Rank 1 at the University of the East, College of Dentistry from 2001 to 2018, where he taught both undergraduate and graduate students. His teaching specialties include Oral Surgery, Oral Radiology, Oral Diagnosis, TMJ Dysfunction, Cranio-Maxillofacial Radiology, Implantology, Orthognathic Surgery, and Prosthodontics related to OMFS.

He is an active consultant for the Cranio-Facial Foundation of the Philippines and UERMMMCI, specializing in hospital dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and TMD pain management.

Dr. Lim is also an internationally published researcher with works appearing in journals such as Cancer Research, Oral Oncology, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Asian Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. His studies span topics from pneumoparotitis to experimental models of jaw metastasis and bisphosphonate effects on bone grafting.

A power speaker for the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) since 2002, he has played leadership roles as a Board Trustee and chaired various committees. Dr. Lim is a fellow of numerous prestigious organizations, including the Philippine Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Philippine Academy of Implant Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

Fluent in Filipino, English, and Japanese, Dr. Lim is committed to international collaboration in dental education and clinical training. His global experience includes fellowship training in Japan and hosting visiting OMFS residents for international learning exchanges.

He is married to Dr. Takako Nakamura, a pediatric dentist, and they have two children. He resides in Metro Manila and continues to serve both as an educator and a clinician.
