Vice President for Academic Affairs
The pioneering Dean of the College of Physical Therapy of the Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts, Science and Technology (MMC CAST), and concurrent to his deanship, he now holds the Vice President for Academic Affairs position at MMC CAST and also garnered recognition in the same institution such as being Outstanding Performance Award and Service Award by the same institution in 2018. He is truly a seasoned Academic Dean who rose from the ranks at Emilio Aguinaldo College, College of PT, OT, and RT from 2004-2013. An accreditor in the Areas of Faculty, Instruction and Laboratories for Physical Therapy Programs under PACUCOA. He was awarded Most Outstanding Physical Therapist by the Professional Regulatory Board in 2019. He is also the current Auditor of PARSS and member of the Research Management Committee of the MMHRDC. The incumbent Chairman of the Research, Education and Training Committee of the PPTA CBR SIG and a member of the Technical Review Board of the Metro-Manila Health Research and Development Consortium.
The lead physical therapist and researcher of the study “Ginhawa Panagot Droga” – A Holistic Multidisciplinary Approach to Drug Addiction Recovery, funded by CHED DARETO Grant. This current endeavor contributes to enhancing and developing subcomponent programs for the integration of Physical Therapy interventions for the recovery of persons who have substance use disorder or drug addiction being implemented in the local and community level. He is also one of the resource speakers and facilitator of the modules developed for Training of the Trainors and series of training for Outcomes Based Curriculum Development, a project partnership of UST and CHED that was delivered across the country.
He ably represented the physical therapy profession in opportunities from assisting up to spearheading campaigns for the national celebrations of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week and the Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week from 2004 to 2006 collaborated with the National Council for Disability Affairs (formerly National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons) from 2004-2006. Became President of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association from 2008 to 2010 and held several positions in the organization such as Vice President for External Affairs, Board of Directors for two terms (2010-2012 and 2016-2018), and PRO showing his commitment and professionalism in his field.
