Programs

The Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts, Science & Technology (MMC CAST) offers various scholarship programs to support students in their educational pursuits. Below is an overview of the available scholarships:

Entrance Scholarship Program (For Incoming Freshmen)

  • Eligibility to Apply:
    • All graduates from DepEd recognized Senior High School
    • Any MMC CAST regular student with a full load from the previous semester.
  • Qualification Criteria:
    • General Weighted Average (GWA) of 93% in Grade 12
    • Maintain a GWA of at least 92% each semester
    • No grades below 85% in any subject during Grade 12
  • Benefits
    • 50% discount on Tuition (Lecture only) during the First Semester
    • Miscellaneous fee, laboratory fee and other fees are not included in discount
  • Application Requirements:
    • Scanned copy of Grade 12 Report Card
    • Scanned copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • Letter of Intent addressed to the President through the Scholarship Committee Chairperson

Academic Scholarship Program/Dean’s Lister Scholarship Program

  • Eligibility to Apply:
    • Any MMC CAST regular student with a full load from the previous semester.
    • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 91% or higher.
    • No grades below 88% on all subjects in all grading periods (Prelim to Finals) and no INC grades.
  • Benefits
    • Scholarship grants that will enjoyed by the grantee are as follows
      • (97%-100%) = 100% discount on tuition – lecture only
      • (94%-96.99%) = 75% discount on tuition – lecture only
      • (91%-93.99%) = 50% discount on tuition – lecture only
  • Application Requirements
    • To be determined by the College Dean

Employees Discount Program

  • Eligibility to Apply:
    • Incoming/current college applicants who are related to a MMC CAST employee and sister companies up to 3rd degree.
  • Qualification Criteria
    • 1st Degree Relatives
    • 2nd Degree Relatives
    • 3rd Degree Relatives
  • Benefits
    • Children of Employees (30% discount on tuition fee lecture only every semester.
    • Sister & Brother of employees (25% discount on tuition fee lecture only every semester).
    • Nieces & Nephews of employees (20% discount on tuition fee lecture only every semester).
    • Miscellaneous fee, laboratory fee and other fees are not included in the discount.
    • Other documents required by HRDD (Human Resources and Development Department).

Entrance Scholarship Program (For Doctor of Medicine)

  • Benefits
    • Graduates will get 100% scholarship (Tuition and Laboratory Fees) and will pay only the miscellaneous fee and Special Development Fund. This will be for a full school year provided that he /she will not have any failing grade on the first semester.
    • Graduates will get 75% scholarship (Tuition and Laboratory Fees) and will pay the miscellaneous fee and Special Development Fund. This will be for a full school year provided that he/she will not have any failing grade in the first semester.
    • Graduates will get 50% scholarship (Tuition and Laboratories Fees) and will pay the miscellaneous fee and the Special fund. This will be for a full school year provided that he/she will not have any failing grade on the first semester.
    • Each applicant is required to submit a document indicating that he/she has been granted the Latin Honors. The scholarship is only good for one school year.

CHED Medical Scholarship and Return Service Program (For Doctor of Medicine).

    • Currently on hold for Private Higher Education Institutions.

Go Tong Foundation Scholarship (For Doctor of Medicine)

  • Benefits
    • The accepted applicant must have a General Weight Average of 1.75 or higher and an NMAT score of 90 or higher. He/She will pay only the miscellaneous fees and Special Development Fund. This is applicable to the four-year program provided, he/she maintains a grade average of 2.00 with no grade below 2.00 and that he/she must take the PhilippinePhysician Licensure Examination. Please send a letter of application, copy of your NMAT result and certification of your GWA to medicine@metro.edu.ph. Only 5 slots will be available
    • The applicant is accepted based on his/her parents or guardians latest ITR and after an evaluation of his/her letter of application. He/she will pay only 65% of the tuition and laboratory fees and Special development Fund. The miscellaneous fees will be paid in full. This is applicable to the four-year program provided, he/she maintains a grade average of 2.50 with no grade below 2.50 and that he/she must take Philippine Physician Licensure Examination. Please send a letter of application, copy of your NMAT result and the latest of your parents/guardian’s ITR to medicine@metro.edu.ph Only 10 slots will be available.
    • Accepted scholars are required to have their post graduate internship done in Metropolitan Medical Center.

Return of Service Scholarship (ROSS) Program (For Doctor of Medicine).

The scholarship is granted to ten (10) qualified first year applicants with the following conditions:

  • Benefits
    • A 40% discount on the tuition and laboratory fees per semester is granted. He/she will pay the miscellaneous fees and special development fund.
    • The scholar may continue to avail of the scholarship provided he/she passes all his/her enrolled subjects;
    • The scholar upon graduation and after passing the physician licensure examination, shall serve as training resident in any of the accredited residency programs of the Metropolitan Medical Center up to its completion and
    • Conditions apply when items b and c are not accomplished.
    • Please submit a letter of application, copy of GWA and NMAT result to medicine@metro.edu.ph. Only eight (8) slots will be available.
    • Accepted scholars are required to have their post graduate internship done in Metropolitan Medical Center.
